Blazin’ Fiddles
Very happy to say I’m now and official member of Blazin’ Fiddles! I’ve been loving playing with the band over the last year and looking forward to getting started on a new album later in 2013. Lots more tour dates coming for this year.
Here’s a video from our gig at Dougie Maclean’s Perthshire Amber festival.
The Halton Quartet
Comprising the collective talents within two of Scotland’s most innovative and captivating duos, The Halton Quartet may be more familiar to audiences as Angus Lyon & Ruaridh Campbell, and Wingin’ It. The four met on board the mv Halton during the 2007 Orkney Folk Festival and have since gone on to make music which is both rich in tradition and boldly forward-looking, with arrangements that expand and develop melodic ideas with imagination, subtlety and brio. Influenced by Argentinean tango master Astor Piazzolla, The European classical school, New York Jazz and Scottish tune forms – this is music with genuine heart and soul.
Bella Hardy & The Midnight Watch
Bella’s band The Midnight Watch features long time collaborator and award winning guitarist Anna Massie of Blazin’ Fiddles, The Halton Quartet’s Angus Lyon on keys, Breabach’s James Lindsay on bass, and Bella’s producer Mattie Foulds (The Burns Unit) on drums. New album ‘Battleplan’ will be released on the 15th of April 2013. Band tour dates to be announced soon along with festival performances including Cambridge Folk Festival & Sidmouth.
