Musician
Angus is one of Scotland’s most innovative and original accordionists; recognised for mixing his classical background with the Scottish tradition. He is perhaps best known for his work with fiddle player Ruaridh Campbell. The duo have recorded two albums together; the latest ’18 Months Later’ was named as one of Celtic Connections Classic Albums of 2007 and was awarded the Herald’s folk album of the year for 2006.
following up from 18 Months Later the duo have teamed up with another well known pair in Adam Bulley & Chas MacKenzie (Wingin’ It) to create the Halton Quartet. Their debut album ‘Based on True Events’ will be released in July 2012
As well as his own projects Angus has performed and recorded with many other artists & bands including Box Club, Blazin’ Fiddles, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Scott Mathews, Eliza Carthy, The Moth & The Mirror, Bobby McFerrin, Paul McCartney, Bella Hardy & Matt Costa
